Our verdict

Feature-packed and fun, but over the legal speed class.

A well-equipped fat-tire bike with hydraulic brakes, app lock and a 400 lb rating — but its 30+ mph claim exceeds Class 3.

Ideal for

Riders who want a feature-rich fat-tire bike for private roads and trails.

Skip it if

Anyone who needs a street-legal Class 1–3 e-bike.

In-depth review

What it's like to own

The Thunder's equipment list is strong for its price range: an 864 Wh battery, hydraulic disc brakes, turn signals, a 400 lb capacity, UL 2849 certification and an app with a remote lock.

Jasion advertises 30+ mph from its 1,800 W peak motor (28 mph in assist). Above 28 mph it's outside the U.S. e-bike classes. The spec table claims a 1,040 Wh battery, which doesn't match the 48 V 18 Ah in the bullets.

Owners describe it as solid and fun; some have converted the rack to a child seat.
